A living map of everything you know.

Ideas live as luminous cells in a three-dimensional constellation. AI helps you connect them, question them, and grow them — and you always know what is yours, what is checked, and what the machine added.

What Ikai is

A place to think with AIthat never thinks for you.

Ideas become cells in a spatial map. The AI connects, questions, and deepens them. Provenance follows every claim, so the thinking stays yours.

Create

Thought becomes matter.

Type a thought and it lands as a cell in your constellation: no folder to choose, no file to name, no blank page staring back. The cost of capturing an idea drops to nothing, so you capture all of them.

Rich notes · [[wikilinks]] · slash commands · Obsidian import

Learn

Answers with receipts.

Ask inside your own map and the AI reasons over your actual ideas, not the internet’s average. Every answer names the cells it drew on, one hover away, so you build on foundations you can check.

Scoped to a cell, board, project, or your whole mind

Navigate

Fly the shape of it.

Orbit your knowledge in 3D, work it in 2D, follow a connection instead of scrolling a list. When knowledge has a place, finding it again feels less like searching and more like remembering.

The loop

One loop, repeated. That is the whole practice.

Everything in Ikai serves one motion. It takes a minute to learn, and it compounds for as long as you keep thinking.

  1. Drop a thought

A cell is born: a title, a note, a place in the map. Capture takes seconds, so nothing worth keeping gets lost.

  2. Let the AI deepen it

It connects the new cell to what you already know, asks the sharp question, proposes the next idea. Everything it adds arrives marked as the machine’s.

  3. Mark what you trust

Verified, unverified, opinion, open question: one gesture per cell, and your map starts telling you the truth about itself.

  4. See yourself in the Mirror

Authorship, trust, progress: a calm portrait of your thinking that you can act on, cell by cell.

Every pass around the loop leaves the map a little truer and the thinking a little more yours. That compounding is the product.

Knowledge

Drop a thought.It takes a place, not a page.

Every idea becomes a cell: a title, a summary, a rich note that holds links, images, and files. Cells glow, breathe, and remember where they came from. Type [[ while writing to link mid-sentence. Your thinking has a shape, and for the first time you can see it.

The Knowledge viewtwo fields of thought, one living map

Three colors of connection.

Lineagegrown for you

Every cell remembers what it grew from — the family tree of your thinking, drawn automatically and never lost.

Chosendrawn by you

The links you draw on purpose are the load-bearing beams. Mark one leads to, supports, in tension, or similar — and the map holds the shape of your reasoning.

Bridgeswhere fields touch

When an idea in one field reaches an idea in another, the link turns gold. These are the connections that feel like discoveries.

Trust

Think with AI.Know what is true.

Most tools blur what you know into what a model guessed. Ikai refuses to. Two marks ride every cell — where it came from, and what you make of it — so your certainty is never counterfeit.

One lens, the whole sky

Flip the Trust lens and every cell recolors by how settled it is — verified first, unchecked AI last. In one glance you see where your map is solid and where it is still hope.

A second lens, Origin, recolors the same sky by who made each cell — you, a source, or the machine.

The epistemic contract

These marks are not decoration. The AI reads them on every single answer, and it is bound by them:

  1. Your opinions are never restated as fact.

  2. Verified cells are ground truth — and if two of them contradict, you hear about it.

  3. The AI never cites its own cells as independent evidence.

  4. Everything the AI adds arrives Unverified, until you check it.

Other tools give you AI with no provenance, or provenance with no AI. Ikai is the one place you can think with the machine and still own the truth.

Ikai AI

Three minds at your table.

Summon it anywhere with ⌘J. It reads the actual shape of your thinking — and answers with receipts, never a guess dressed as a fact.

Point it at exactly as much as you mean

Whole mind

Every project and board at once — the questions only the full picture can answer.

A project

One field in focus. The AI reasons inside its walls and nowhere else.

A board

A visual board, images and all — it sees what is actually on the canvas.

A cell

One idea, one focused chat — that still knows the cells around it.

Same three minds, any altitude — from your entire knowledge view down to a single thought.

  • Assistant

Your thinking partner. It reasons over the real structure of your graph, maps your knowledge, finds the gaps, and proposes bridges you can accept with one click.

  • Challenger

A gym for intellectual honesty. It steelmans the other side, finds your weakest link, and refuses to just agree with you.

  • Tutor

Feynman teach-back. It makes you explain it, one question at a time, until the gap is yours to close.

“Dopamine prediction errors are what tie your Reward cluster to Memory Formation: the surprise is the teacher.”

The Ask AI windowagents, scopes, and a daily digest · captured from the beta

Each day you return, a quiet digest of how your thinking moved: what grew, what thinned, one claim worth firming up, one question worth sitting with. And when you cannot find the question, it offers one: “Challenge my strongest opinion here.”

Visual

Some thinking happensin pictures.

Boards are infinite canvases for images, links, notes, film, and freehand ink. Connections between items carry meaning, not just lines: leads to, supports, in tension, similar. And the AI can look. It sees every image on the board and proposes bridges into your knowledge.

The network

Follow minds,not feeds.

Ikai is growing into a social medium for knowledge itself. You share the shape of your thinking, not a status — and walking someone else's map becomes the way you learn.

  1. Share a living page

    Live now

Any cell or board becomes a public page with a single link — your thinking, readable by anyone you choose, every mark of provenance intact.

  2. Think together

    Next

Two minds inside one map, watching each other’s ideas find their places in real time. Collaboration that keeps authorship legible.

  3. Follow minds, not feeds

    Ahead

Profiles as visual portfolios of what you know. A feed that teaches instead of scrolls, and discovery that walks you across disciplines.

  4. Constellation Bridge

    Ahead

Lay two maps side by side and watch where they touch — the gold lines that appear between two minds.
